Moving delivery inspection checklist

Use the loading inventory and condition photographs to check delivery. A calm, documented handover is more useful than signing first and searching for issues later.

1. Confirm the receiving slotEnsure entry permission, parking and any lift booking are ready before the vehicle arrives.
2. Have the loading records readyKeep the consignment number, inventory and condition photos accessible on paper or your phone.
3. Count pieces as they unloadMatch carton and item numbers to the inventory instead of relying on a rough room-wise count.
4. Check visible conditionLook for damaged wrapping, wet cartons and visible item damage before packing is discarded.
5. Check listed accessoriesMatch furniture fittings, vehicle keys, appliance parts and office accessories to the handover list.
6. Direct goods to the right roomsUse the carton labels and room plan to avoid unnecessary repeated handling.
7. Record exceptions on receiptWrite down missing items or visible damage, take photos and notify the coordinator promptly.
8. Confirm agreed reassemblyCheck that booked reassembly or unpacking is completed and note any work requiring a separate technician.
9. Retain booking and cover documentsKeep the quote, invoice, inventory, delivery receipt and insurance terms for any required follow-up.
